Kramer Alberti Lim & Tonkovich LLP is pleased to share that the firm, as well as partner David Alberti, earned top rankings for their stellar work on IPRs in Patexia’s 2023 PTAB Intelligence Report. Kramer Alberti was ranked among the top 25 most active and among the 50 best performing law firms in the country representing patent owners in IPRs.  And of particular note, partner David Alberti, an experienced patent trial attorney with a background in electrical engineering, ranked individually within the top 50 best performing attorneys in the country representing patent owners in IPRs.

“This national recognition of our work representing patent owners upholding the validity of their patents when challenged in IPRs is an honor and truly a team effort achieved by all members of our tremendously skilled and technically gifted attorneys,” explained Alberti.

“Our team of talented patent litigators know how to win and demonstrate their prowess in courtrooms and in the PTAB as seen by the many wins achieved over the years, including a big win recently defending client University of Michigan’s pioneering patent in the PTAB. This talented group of attorneys working along with David Alberti in the PTAB includes Sal Lim, Russ Tonkovich, Robert Mattson, Andrew Hamill, Hong Lin, and the rest of our team,” added partner Rob Kramer.

An evolution of Patexia’s IPR Intelligence Report, the PTAB Intelligence Report provides comprehensive law firm, attorney, petitioner, and patent owner rankings across all proceedings within the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including inter partes reviews and other post grant proceedings. The report includes a review of 7,184 PTAB proceedings and 5,152 patents over a five-year period from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2023.

The Kramer Alberti firm is a nationally recognized patent litigation powerhouse representing patent owners in Federal Courts and the ITC and was recognized earlier this year as one of the most active and high-performing patent litigation law firms in the Patexia 2023 Patent Litigation Intelligence Report. The report provides a comprehensive ranking of the best patent litigation attorneys and law firms. It ranked Kramer Alberti as among the top 50 best performing and most active law firms in the country representing plaintiffs in patent litigation in the district courts. This comprehensive national survey also gave high ranking individually to partners Rob Kramer, David Alberti, Sal Lim and Russell Tonkovich, each being named among the top 50 best performing and most active patent litigation attorneys in the country for the period between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2022, encompassing thousands of cases and intellectual property attorneys surveyed.

In addition, Patexia’s annual report Best Patent Litigators of 2023, ranked partner Rob Kramer in its selection of the best 30 patent litigation attorneys in the country, a high honor and well-deserved recognition reserved for a select group of first chair team leader patent trial attorneys.
