Kramer Alberti Announces Promotion of Andrew Hamill to Partner

Proven Contributor Add Expertise to Firm’s Patent Litigation Practice

January 11, 2023 – Kramer Alberti Lim & Tonkovich LLP (Kramer Alberti), a nationally recognized IP litigation firm, today announced that patent litigation trial attorney Andrew Hamill was being promoted to partner. Rob Kramer, Kramer Alberti partner, made the announcement.

“Andrew has contributed significantly to our clients’ success, the progression of Kramer Alberti’s reputation, the continued growth of the firm and its national expansion,” stated partner Rob Kramer.

Andrew Hamill, who joined Kramer Day in 2020, focuses his practice on patent litigation in district courts and at the ITC, where he has achieved significant victories for plaintiffs and defendants. He has litigated highly complex patent infringement cases involving a diverse array of computer science and electrical engineering technologies. Hamill began his law career at a prominent international law firm before joining Kramer Day. Prior to practicing law, Hamill worked as a software engineer. He earned a B.S. in computer science at the University of Virginia and his J.D. (cum laude) at the University of Michigan Law School.

Kramer Alberti represents plaintiffs in high stakes patent litigations and recently won a $173 million patent infringement verdict, the largest jury award in the history of the Sherman Division of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. “The firm continues its national expansion as one of the most successful and sought-after patent litigation firms in the country. The elevation of Andrew to partner follows on the heels of two highly experienced patent litigation partners recently joining us in the New York and Washington, D.C. areas,” added Kramer.
